As I continue to learn, experiment and research the brain for you, I will be filling in this guide so you will have a step by step guide to making your Brain truly Extraordinary! Please excuse the currently incomplete nature of this guide : )
My approach to this will be to attempt to find the best actions you can take to improve your cognition and also to put them in order of what to do first for the greatest benefit.

Step 1 – Increase the Power to your Brain
Mitochondria are really the foundation upon which an Extraordinary Brain is built!
This is because mitochondria provide power to your brain, the most power hungry organ in your body! Each brain cell has thousands of mitochondria! Supporting your mitochondria will make any ‘hacks’ you implement later even more effective. For this reason, I put mitochondria first.
Ways to increase mitochondrial function:
Ways to increase the number of mitochondria you have:
- PQQ (buy here)
- Exercise!
This step should give you a nice boost in mental energy and clarity. It definitely has helped me. However, if you, like me, have some things holding you back more energy will only go so far.
This is where it’s a tough call on where to go next. Do you work on finding and destroying anything holding you back or do you go to some things like ‘nootropics’ to give yourself some extra edge.
Well, my opinion is this. It’s more fun and sexy to try nootropics, but there are things that could seriously be holding you back. So I’ll let you start with the nootropics if you take a moment now to commit yourself to going the whole way to an extraordinary brain.
The nootropics could really help, but again it will only go so far if there are things slowing you down. After increasing the power to your brain and then using cognitive enhancers like nootropics, you will be tempted to stop seeking to improve. But, there could really be a long way to go yet with huge unrealized gains.
Step 2 – Nootropics and Cognitive Enhancers
To some, these are kind of like short-cuts. That’s really quite alright with me!
If your brain isn’t working up to par short-cuts are okay to get you back on track. These may or may not be something that you would want to take long term. For some, they are just like training wheels to help get through the last step. For others, they are a life long help.
Step 3 – Remove Anything that Slows Down your Brain
While step 1 was relatively easy, step 2 is a bit more difficult because it’s not always apparent what, if anything, is slowing you down. There are many things that could slow you down so it is really a process of elimination and self reflection that is needed.
